2.1 The mechanical properties of steel wire delivered in HD state shall be determined by both parties through negotiation.
The mechanical properties of 2.2 tempered steel wire in the delivery state shall meet the requirements of Table 3 and Table 4.
When the 2.3 steel wire is delivered in straight or polished state, the mechanical properties are allowed to fluctuate by 10%.
2.4 The mechanical properties of steel wire with nominal diameter greater than 25.00mm shall be determined by both parties through negotiation.
The mechanical properties of the grades not listed in the 2.5 table shall be determined by both parties through negotiation.
2.6 upsetting
The steel wire sample shall be cold-forged to the 1/2 of the original sample height, and the surface shall be free of cracks and cracks. It can also be forged to the 1/3 or 1/4 of the original specimen height by mutual agreement.

3. Microstructure

The spheroidizing structure of steel wire treated by spheroidizing annealing can be inspected according to the requirements of the buyer and indicated in the contract. The qualified level and test method shall be negotiated by both parties.

3.1 decarburized layer
according to the requirements of the buyer and indicated in the contract, the decarburized layer on the surface of the steel wire can be inspected. the allowable depth range of the steel wire-edge full decarburized layer and the total decarburized layer (ferrite + transition layer) shall conform to the provisions of table 6. when the decarburized layer is subject to special requirements, it shall be determined by both parties through negotiation. For steel wires with carbon content not more than 0.30%, the inspection method shall be negotiated by both parties.
Carbon increase in 3.2
There shall be no carbon increase on the surface of steel wire. The supplier may not do inspection if it can guarantee.

4. Surface quality

The surface of the 4.1 steel wire shall be smooth and free from cracks, scarring, folding, delamination, drawing marks and rust. However, individual pits, convexities, dents and scratches with a depth not exceeding half of the diameter tolerance are allowed. The surface of steel wire delivered in annealed state is allowed to have oxidation color.
The surface coating requirements of 4.2 steel wire shall be determined by both parties through negotiation.
